When I learned to drive, a gillion years ago, passenger cars usually had only the one inside rear view mirror, although trucks also had outside mirrors. Shortly thereafter companies started to put outside rear view mirrors on passenger cars, also, as this greatly improves the drivers vision of other vehicles. I have no idea why anyone would want to have only one review mirror. The mirrors in my care are never adjusted unless someone bumps them. When my husband drives it, he adjusts the seat not the mirrors.

I adjust the rear view mirror only once and that is when I start driving. I don't believe in adjusting it often especially in a very busy road as the adjustments would take your eyes away from the front and you could hit another vehicle.
