Gas prices in Utah are the highest in the country excluding Hawaii and Alaska. Even California has cheaper gas. Gas in Vegas costs 15 cents less than in Utah. What is the deal here? Everyone keeps asking this question and yet it seems to remain a mystery. How many of you mylotters live in Utah? How has the high gas prices effected you?

I don't live there but have heard about it. I have a friend who lives there and they are all puzzled as to why they don't see cheaper prices. Even the news agencies apparently can't come up with an answer. My friend does what many of us did and still do, when prices in our area were high (in essence they are still high everywhere anyway), drive less, bundle errands, kids take the bus, less eating out, less extras.....

Well I keep having car troubles, so I don't get the chance to drive much anyways. I've been riding the bus for a while now and although it's cheaper, it sucks so bad. But we just got this thing called max bus. It comes more often, every 15 min vs. every 30 min. And it is a lot nicer. It's like trax. You don't have to show you paid and there are less stops so it is a lot faster. But so far the max only has one route, so I can't ride it everywhere.
