I have a 6 yearold son - PranavSwaroop. It's one word (actually a combination of two something like Radhakrishna). He was born on GaneshChathurthi and Pranavswaroop is another name for Ganesha though it has a whole lot of other meanings as well. I'm expecting my second now and the name's going to me Omkar (if it's a boy). This is my son's choice since it has almost the same meaning as his name. We are still thinking of a girl's name. Can you think of any sanskrit word that means universe or something to that effect? Maneka Gandhi's Baby names book is a good place to start a search.

We had names picked out for our kids that each changed at the last min. My daughter we were going to name Crayola because we wanted a name that was different. But we changed it last min. to Brihanna. (pronounced Bre-yon-na) Then my son we were going to name Hunter but at the last min. we changed to Gauge. We are happy with the names that we chose though. If I could, i would name my daughter what we first wanted because there was like a boom of the name Brihanna and now it is not unique and that is what we wanted. Gauge is not unique either. My son is 4, but in the last 2 years several Gauge's have popped up. But spelled Gage.
