I will read answers tomorrow morning.
I am planning to bowl tomorrow. I bowl from time to time with my daughter and I am wondering what is more important, to improve one's bowling then try to join a bowling league or join one anyways and then try to improve on one's average then?

Hi Shelley, To me the most important thing would be to have FUN with it but talk to someone that is in a league and see what they think, I would join and improve participating on a team myself as they would help and encourage and you would soon improve your average. Good luck. Huggles. Ellie :D

I bowl on a league and I carry over a 200 average and if you're looking to improve your skills then there are some different things you have to do to get better.
First is to get your own equipment. A ball, shoes, bag, etc. If you have your own ball it will be drilled to fit your hand span which is important in improving your skills. Shoes aren't so important but it is good to have a comfortable shoe.
Second is to practice... THe more practice the better you'll get..
Joining a league when you're a youth is a good way to improve your skills becuase youth leagues have coaches that will practice with you and help you. Adult leagues normally don't have coaches who are there to help but on a league you would be able to ask some of the other people if they would be interested in helping you..
