What if someone who is a totally stranger to you ask you a favor?..a favor of donating blood for his/her dying daughter..are you willing to do a favor for him/her?
Or you have just decided to donate your blood for your family and closest pals if ever they need it?

I have donated by blood only once...that was in a blood camp...
It was my first donation... after i gave my blood i felt unconscious.... and it was the first time i felt so unconscious... something was pulling me from my brain.. and all of a sudden i felt down.. after some 10 mins i wake up to see my friends surrounded... i almost forgot where i was... That was my first experience...
After that experience.. I thought maybe i was not fit to donate blood... I am thin.. and dont have much weight also... so maybe i should not donate my blood....
So I stopped donating blood... I have the blood camp card.. which can be used to ask for blood.. so that could help that strangers daughter.. thats the only waty i could help them...

Oh it's so sad..but why did they allow you to donate blood?..i mean they must examine first the person if he is fit..healthy enough before you can be a blood donor..it's not practical to donate your blood to save the lives of others if your putting your own health in risk..
Thanks for sharing..good day!

I have never donate blood before because I am scared of the pain. It was my first time extracting blood when I went for checkup few months ago. Throughout the pregnancy monthly checkup, the nurse will extract blood from me time to time, and I am sort of overcome the fear. So, I believe if there is any emergency, I will donate my blood to the needy. Life is valuable.

I would definitely donate my blood to anyone in need. It does not cost me much to donate blood, just some time only. Of course if I am in good health that is a different story, otherwise I would donate not only to my relatives but even to strangers.

I try to donate blood each time the blood van comes by or close, I have seen news announcements on tv that says some child needs blood because of a disease that they have and the blood bank is running low, it I have a match I try to call and see where to donate. I think giving blood is the lifeline for all of us. It is also good for you go do as it replenishes our blood system. I have AB negative and it is a rare kind so they are always glad to get a pint from me. Please all that can please donate if the chance is given to you, you never know when it could be you who needs it.

I have an intense phobia of needles (I get cold sweats etc and high blood pressure if I have to have needles), but I would do it in that situation.
In fact I did give blood for the first time this year.
I am also vegetarian and you often hear we can't give blood - but my haemoglobin was ok so I could give it - they were a bit worried about my high blood pressure - but they said it is normal for people to have high blood pressure when they first give blood (so I was a little nervous).

I would but I can't. That's the problem. I have hepa-B which makes it impossible for me to become a blood donor so what I do instead is to organize a blood-letting program. If somebody I know approaches me for blood donation I just help look for blood donors.

In general, I think I do that when I donate blood to the blood donation agencies throughout the US
