I found this very interesting. Apparently there have been experiments in which a repeated stimulus, such as a bell, is given to groups of experienced meditators and non-meditators.
The non-meditators quickly adapted to it and no longer reacted - the meditators continued to react each time as if it was something new. Perhaps
this attitude could help us see our mundane surroundings in a fresh way... The way a child finds everything so interesting that we have completely tuned out.
