Do you believe in courtly love or romantic love?

romance is just a by-product of true love. a true love is not just a feeling but a decision to commit. it is a decision to stay, to work it out, to compromise, to accept differences in your relationship. there will be times that you "don't feel in-love" maybe because of emotional distress, hormonal changes or just your mood swings saying these things. but true love surpasses everything and loving someone without expectations makes the most gratifying love of all.
giving someone flowers or writing poetry is an expression of love not just out of romantic gestures.
hope it helps. keep on believing. love is just around.

I do believe in courtly love. I totally understand your defense of opinion of love. I just totally believe that love has lost its meaning. Love is just not love anymore. The day you tell someone you love them, they freak out and their defense mechanisms start jumping on. Love is commonly misinterepreted for lust. People just want $ex, and everyone $exs for the hell of it.

I read a book where it said to love yourself. It was kind of strange but on closer examination I found it to be full of truth. We are taught not to be selfish and self-love appears to be just that. How can anyone love anyone else if he/she is devoid of love even for him/her self?

I concur. I love myself to a certain extent. Only because I am self-conscious. But I totally concur all the way.

I believe in romantic love... romantic love is when you always want to make surprises to your beloved one, when you love to hug, kiss, encourage, praise your beloved one and much more.
