How long can you stay single?

I just wondering how many years do you actually stay single after a heart broken relationship?
How long did you take to recover from it?

I don't know actually. I was in love for the past three years. Before three obly our relationship was broken. I don't understand why I am loving him still and couldn't find the answer when this will stop. As of now, I am idle at home. May be when I am busy with my work, I may forget. Who knows?

My Mother once told me that it takes just as long to get over someone as it does to be in a relationship with them. I find this a good measure of the length of time that you can allow yourself to heal.

well in my case i was single only for few days after my relationship broke. i was very vulnerable at that time so i started dating this other guy... but starngely found love with him.

This dosent have a puticular time line. It depends upon how deep you are hurt. It also depends upon how fast you find a new heart to share with and how fast you settle with that.There is no meaning in thinking past. think future , just because life should move on.
