How many high schools have you attended?

I have only been to 2 high schools in my life and it would have been only one if I hadn't moved. So many of my friends have been to 3 or more highschools. Sometimes because they moved, but mostly just cuz their parents transfered them or else they got kicked out. I don't understand it. It seems pretty crazy to me. I'm not exactly an angel and yet I haven't had so many problems to be forced to leave a school. So what's your story? How many highschools have you been a student to and why? (If you are comfortable sharing) Were they all close to eachother, perhaps in the same school district? Or were they spread far out, perhaps in different states or countries?

I only attended one high school, and one junior high, however elementary school was a different subject. We moved kinda often so I went to 4 or 5 elementary schools, not counting pre-school. I was glad we didn't move during my high school years. It was fun having all the same friends for 3 years and all graduating together. My oldest daughter went to one high school also, and my youngest attended two high schools, but they were within 10 miles of each other.

Yeah. It was pretty hard for me to have to move away from all my friends and make new ones, so having only one high school must have been great for you.

I attended high school at the same school where I attend grade school and pre-school.. Didn't really move much or got transferred to another school.. or got kicked out.. didn't hear about students getting kicked out that often as well but they sure moved to other schools.. then came back.. only got close to a few classmates as well..

I go to two high school. My first school was a private school which can cost you sometimes and when my our financial situation became worse I was transferred to public school. I have two years in private and two years for public school.
after that I manage to get in to university for collage.
At first its hard to adopt to your new surrounding but in the end it will just give you more experienced.

Hmm.. base from my experienced, the private school really have a higher level of education and even with strict discipline, good facilities and does observe all the rules and regulation. In public, hmm.. lots of difference more on facilities and following rules but I do have seen lots of good and best and worst teachers. But still I came to like public school since I really feel the freedom and I enjoy by high school days more than in private.

Did you like moving around so much or was it hard on you? My mom moved every year when she was in junior high and high school and she hated it cuz she always had to leave her friends.

I really hope you get it. It is very important to have an education. I know a lot of kids who drop out of high school plan on getting their ged, but end up getting too busy with their jobs and stuff to do it. I hope you have the willpower to stick it through. Good luck to ya and happy mylotting!

I've only been to one high school and I'm going into my senior year and I honestly hate it. Everyone knows your business, you have to deal with the people you don't like, rumors spreading like crazy, losing friends. But I've been to countless elementary schools, and only 2 middle schools. Which sucks, having to get new friends and learning new things. My middle schools we're close, I was in one from 6th to some of 7th, then the next from the rest of 7th to the 8th. I knew people in my second middle school as well though, so it made it easier. Where as in elementary I was all over. It was terrible.

That's pretty ironic. You hated moving around so much in elementry and middle school, but now you hate only having one high school. lol. Well good luck in your senior year.

I spent my first two years at a pretty bad high school that was known throughout the city for having the most pregnant teenagers. I wasn't completely happy there even though the teachers were really awesome and the learning experience was great. I was later accepted to New Jersey's best high school where I stayed for my remaining two years. Truthfully, I still wasn't completely happy and the teachers were surprisingly not so great in my opinion when compared to the teachers at the bad school. They were withing walking distances from each other which was a good thing since I liked bumping into some of my old friends. I'm still not sure if I regret transferring. I just know that I wasn't comfortable in either schools.

Yeah the bad schools usually do have better teachers. I think they care more which is why they chose to work at bad schools in the first place. Well it's good that you weren't too far from your old school, so that you could stay in touch with ur friends.

Hello _sketch_,
I been to only one school during my high school days. Since I was born we basically stay in the same place. The school is walking distance from our house and I usually walked going to my high school. My school is agriculturally oriented so we basically have subjects about farming, livestocks and gardening. Every rice planting season, we go to the field to plant rice and harvest rice also. Harvesting rice is a bit hazzle because of the heat and rice stalk are itchy if they touch your skins. We also take care of pig, poultry and even cows. High school life was fun specially with your highschool classmates basically the same all of the years. I was glad we don't move out often and was able to stay on only one school. It must be tough changing school every season.
Warm regards.

I've been to only 1 high school. I finished my 4 years there straight. My high school group of friends have been with me since our 1st year in high school also. My school was 30-45 minutes from our house depending on the traffic also. Good thing I didn't transfer or anything. I had fun there and although at first I kind of disliked the environment, I got used to it already and loved it until we graduated.

Hey prettiesophie here... I have only been to one High School so far but I will be going to another one next year to complete my studies. It really sucks when we get separated from our friends...
Thats why we should cherish them.

Yes it does suck when we get seperated from our friends, but with the amount of technology these days, it is easy to stay in touch. I hope u are able to stay in touch with your friends. Good luck at your new school.

I attended 2. Both were in the same school district. I had skipped so much school in 9th grade that when I was getting ready to start my sophomore year the principal wanted me to repeat the 9th grade, something I did not want to do. So he, along with a few other school officials, gave me the option of going to an alternative high school instead. I loved it and did well! Had I known such a school existed I would have gone to it from the start, or at least after I had moved to the Sacramento area.

I was considering transferring to an alternative high school when I was in 9th grade, so that I could graduate early, but my parents wouldn't let me. I had a lot of friends that went though and they all loved it.

i've only been to one highschool.
And it was elementary, middle school, junior high, and high school all in one building. Yes it was a small school. My graduating class consisted of nine people total including me.
My first five years of school was in a building that was built in the 1930s. Then in fifth grade we got a brand new school building.
i'm glad i went to such a small school. My best friend to this day was a kid that i met in Kindergarten (no pre-k back then).
i never had to move and never had to transfer.

That's cool. Change is a great way to keep from getting bored. I'm sure changing schools every year kept you from getting bored with school and probably helped you want to stay in school. I know I was getting sick of the same old thing every day. I got senioritis my junior year. lol.

I only been to 1 High School. I think that would be great actually to move to few high schools. The way I see it this time is the world is changing rapidly and people are meeting other people from other countries and I think moving more as early as you can will help you to build self confidence for the future. This will be challenging but thats the world is all about. Build yourself as early as you can.
