I am oldfashioned. Brought up by my grandmother. I think a lady doesn't persue, she is persued. A woman should always be a class act, persuing can be alittle demeaning at times. In todays culture it seems okay to do the persuing. I don't care for it. I think a woman should always be a step above the rest, not a full step lower.

Well I find it difficult with my culture to just sit back and have guys court me, that makes me kind of feel weak in a way. When I meet someone I like and he likes me, I find it comforting that we can both give our part in the beginning of the relationship and show interest in each other. I just feel more comfortable when I can contribute to it all, it's just normal here I suppose. My boyfriend is from Sweden, and in Sweden the process is shared, and often the women ask men out on dates more than the men do, so I would not have expected him to do it all when he comes from a culture where women are very powerful, where in my culture the men tend to initiate things more, though the women are completely normal if they do as well here in America.
