I'm planning to buy a digital camera (the normal pocket-size with auto lens), but I'm not sure how to compare the product's features, for example between a Canon and Olympus or Minolta. For instance, how many pixels is considered okay for a clear shot, what about the lens, and so on. Is the maintenance costly, if it's not working and need to be fixed? So anyone of you who owns a camera, kindly advise me.

If you have the money, then I suggest that you go for the latest and the best kind of camera that you'd see. Consider the shutter speed. Most people doesn't care about it but it's one of the essential tools in a camera. Shutter speed is used for fast moving objects so that your captures are not blurry. The higher the shutter speed is, the better. Memory. Its such a waste if you have so many things to take a pictures of but you're running out of memory. Buy the 8gb one of it's available in your camera shop. Of course, the pixels. Now a days, 10 mega pixels is the standard pixels for cameras. 10 mega pixels offers you a really good quality. I hope those things helped you. Good luck on buying a new camera!
