you're shopping and suddenly, your stomach grumbles wanting to go to the toilet!

Oh Bear, how funny can you be (he he he). Luckily my stomach understands my position and until and unless I am really sick there, I don’t feel the urge for anything major when I am outside. It just doesn’t come out if its not my own toilet. But I guess, if the situation arose like that, I would have to go…(eewww)

LOL, I know the feeling, it has happened to me a few times. I know what you mean about not wanting to use the public loos to go, I have had to do it myself and it is really embarrassing. Especially if the toilets are busy! Shame that you could not get your shirt, perhaps you will have to have another shopping trip another day.

Only happened to me once, after we had gone to a buffet restaurant. Apparently something I ate there didn't agree with me! We were shopping in Lowe's so luckily there was a public restroom, because I don't think I could have waited very long and it would have been a bad situation!

My friend has the same problem. When we shop, then go out for lunch we stay close to an area that has a bathroom! She sometimes has to go without much notice! But we don't drive back home. She uses whatever facilities are available.

When I have to go poo-poo I have to go poo-poo. I can not hold it for very long. If I do hold it, when I have no choice, I then can't go again that day or sometimes for the next couple days. It just plugs me up and then I get constipated and then I suffer for days with pains, till I can finally go again. So when the urge hits me, no matter where I am or what I am doing, I manage to find a bathroom and I go. The same if I have to pee, I can't hold it very long without getting a stomach ache so I go. But there are times when there is no washroom close by and then I suffer. Or if I am driving somewhere on the highway I will find a spot in the trees to pull over and go, even though I am female. I usually don't have a choice, when I have to go, I have to go, that simple.

I would be so embarrassed!! I don't think i could do it either unless i had too... I would try to hold for aslong as i could but i would go if i had to and then just be too embarassed to come back out til the smell had gone away! !lol

We are a slave to our bodies aren't we, they send us signals, we ignore them and they don't like it and they seek vengeance, they make us pay, we must obey them or else and don't they play up at the most inopportune moment! I am afraid if my body is telling me to go I have to go, regardless, and I suffer the public conveniences simply because it's either that or have an embarrassing accident or cause unnecessary pain to your insides which can be very very uncomfortable, so I give in to my body's needs every time, it wins!

it did happen to me once.lol.it was so embrassing.once i was on my to our family friends,my family also was there with me.suddebly it became so urgent that i had to get off the train.my family also had to get out(i was a kid then)and we had to wait for another hour for a train.

I know the feeling. I have great bodily function control so I also would wait until I got home unless it was a dire emergency. Usually only happens if I've eaten something like sour cream or another rich dairy product. I avoid those when I am out and about for that very reason. Won't always bother me but since there is not much of a warning, I eat dairy when I am going to be home. I know it seems rather silly but why not return to the same store as if nothing happened and buy the shirt? I would if I wanted it bad enough.

if i am at the mall, i head to the bathroom in the nearest area. our mall bathrooms are pretty clean. fortunately, this doesnt happen to me often, but i remember being in many a place when all of a sudden, a little voice comes up to my ears from my 2 dauthers...i have to go to the bathroom NOW! lol!

Hello secretbear, I don't know how long I can hold on if I am in the same situation. It happened few times. One time, I was traveling back to my home town which takes me 3 hours more to reach. I am not a person who like to use a public toilet too. I just feel very, very uncomfortable. Out of sudden, I had this urge to do 'business'. I passed by a rest and relax stop, a petrol station but unwilling to stop my car. In the middle of nowhere, the urge became so strong that I couldn't help myself anymore.... Well, I don't want to tell you what happened next *laughs* You get it wrong! I managed to reach my house and rushed to the toilet, ignoring all people who welcomed me home!

hahaha this is funny, glad that i haven't experience this & i don't want to experience this coz it's really awkward & embarrassing lol

Well like everyone says, when you gotta go, you gotta go. When mother nature calls, I guess you ave to answer. If I was in that situation, and I had to go immediately, of course I would go right away! Holding it is ok if you can make it to a differnt location. I don't have a phobia of using public toilets or anything like that. You shouldn't be embarrased to use the restroom. Nobody cares, and everyone does it.

Lol bear it is really embarrassing, i suggest u eat some bananas & do some exercise, it will make u you go to restroom much more regularly. i also often meet this kind of situation, sometime nearly fainting especially when u driving a car....

It must be very odd situation to combat. Call from nature is hard to resist or deny. You must have been very much disappointed. But it seems like you did well getting yourself back to home. And I can feel the pleasure you had when you got inside the toilet.

Hi secretbear, [i]It happens to me twice and it is very uncomfortable really especially if the comfort room of the particular mall has so many people and line is very long..LOL! When I was in the airport last time, I manage not to make any sound..lol then spray a lot of perfume after leaving![/i]

Hi there secretbear! I have never really experienced what you have experienced earlier. I hope that I never will. But I do remember going shopping with my friend who experienced what you did. We were shopping for some clothes when she told me about what she was feeling. I told her to go to the comfort room. She did. She came back in a few minutes and told me that there were so many people in the comfort room and told me she really had to "go". We ended up in a fastfood located in the mall and well, she responded to nature's call. After that, we continued with the shopping spree.

That happens to me quite often. As you get older, you have a harder time with the food at the mall. We eat low fat, low sugar, and low salt. Our mall has high fat and then suddenly I have to go. I wouldn't be able to wait half an hour, I'd have an accident. Sometimes I buy trail mix at a store on the way in or bring a peanut butter sandwhich so I don't have to eat their food and avoid all that. hi..nice to meet you here i understand your feeling...because it happened to me also ... that day i also was shopping and suddenly my stomach very pain....and i also endure it and try to ignore it at the first....but too bad.. my stomach dont want 'listen' to me and' ask' me should go to toilet to solve it...if i cant endure the pain i will choose to go public toilet although i don't like it also... have a nice day and happy my lotting!
