Ok, it goes something like this. Way back in prehistoric times when humans domesticated wild canines for several different reasons. Number one; humans appreciated the dogs' hunting prowess and figured that they could help hunt down food. Unexpectedly, the humans also found that the dogs became loyal to them and would help protect them and warn of intruders and so forth as well. Eventually, humans saw that they could actually train the dogs to do what they wanted the dogs to do. As time went on, dogs became dependent on humans for food and certain care and even affection and proved in most cases to be loyal, even if they weren't treated very well sometimes. Domesticating dogs was one of the smartest things that prehistoric people ever did because it was a way of helping to ensure that they would be able to obtain food and to continue their existance. Hence the phrase that "dog is mans' best friend". This is the general idea and my renderig may not be perfect-that's my disclaimer. lol

Hi and welcome to mylot!
Well dogs are known to be man's best friend for they are loyals to their human family. I think they the most domesticated animals too and popular and they can easily live with humans. They can be trained very well and loves their humans without asking in return.
