The configure is decided on how much money can you offer. And the brand i prefer is Dell and Lenovo.

hi btamanna, it depends on your need. if you use the computer for office and other document based works, you will need different config. than if you use it for graphic based works. i use my computer for ordinary usage, mostly text based works, so i don't need a computer with the last technology. currently i have pc with dual core processor (1.8 gb), ram ddr 1 gb, mobo 945gcm-s2l, dvd writer. so far it meets my need.

well the config you want will have to do with what you want to do on it. i.e. play games, home business, personal computing, surfing the net, So depending on what you want to do with this computer will determine the configuration that you need to get

It depends on what your using it for. I have a dell and it has been working great since I got it 3 years ago. I believe there is web site that dell has that let helps you decide on what type of computer you want. Like how much memory who'll need.
