cleaning microwave can be a drag.Getting the dried food off with a sponge is enough to drive anyone crazy!especially when you had a hard day.For a safe and easy method ,simply zap a bowl of lemon juice and water for five minutes, then let the microwave cool before wiping down the walls.

Great suggestion! I ususally just put plain water in there but adding lemon sounds like a much better idea. I'll be sure to give that a try!

Using baking soda is the best way to get a micro clean. I suppose the lemon will also help and deodorise the micro. I will definitely try with the lemon. Seems like a good idea. Thanks.

Yes, I love it. The lemon doesn't really help the cleaning it off part, but deoderizes the microwave to get out any bad smells. Some people add baking soda for that purpose.

I use a similar method, but I put a bowl of vinegar and water in the microwave instead.

I've honestly never thought about cleaning my microwave; it never gets dirty. The best way to avoid having to take the time to clean the microwave is to cover your food with plastic wrap or a paper towel. It prevents the food from getting too hot and splattering all over inside. However, do not put aluminum foil into the microwave because it could become a fire hazard.

Yes this is true! It will loosen up anything that is on the walls of the microwave. This reminds me that I have been putting off cleaning the Microwave.. I need a maid.!!!
