Such a lovely simple book about a shepherd who is so happy doing what he does in the beginning even if others don't appreciate his job! And then when he travels through Spain to other European countries, I don't want to give too much away, but as they say, it is a book about following your dreams. I have bought it for people as a present. It is so easy to read.It makes me want to go to some of those countries - I don't know if I would be able to wander around as easily though.

Hi Vegegirl, That book is currently my top prescription to others in my office. Initially I thought it to be just another novel. But as I read on I got immersed in the message of the story, Follow your dreams, if you leave your dreams at the first attempt you will never see what you are meant to be. It is one of the greatest novels I ever read

Yes I have read it and I thought there were some good lessons in it, particularly about recognizing signs and understanding them, which means being able to see opportunites in life, and to take a chance on them, because if you don't you won't be able to follow your dreams. I think we all have to go on our own personal journey through life, and we learn from it, even if we don't travel far in reality, we can travel in our thoughts. A good book can take you to new places and can lead you in a new direction.
