Do you ever get free CDs or buy music from a charity shop?

The other day I was shopping in an animal charity shop and I found a CD in the donation box. It was one of the ones that came free in a national newspaper. It was a Duran Duran CD. What sort of bargains have you had when purchased music?

I think I bought some tapes from there years ago. Whenver I go to like a goodwill store for example, I look at the music and there is nothing there that I am interested in. I think going to like a cd exchange store is the place to find bargains like that. Maybe ebay or something as well would be a good place.

I love nothing better than a good rummage, especially in charity shops because I have got my hands on cds which would have cost a fortune in the shops but as good as new in the charity shops which I prefer because it gives money to worthy causes. I think my last purchase was Moby an album and the cd was immaculate they only wanted £1 for it! Bargain for sure, great cd when I played it.

$1 -$2 at rummage or garage sales. $5 at Walmart bargain bin. The best deal is when my relatives buy me stuff for X-mas. Now you can get several cds in a box at FYE for $10. I got my husband a bunch of Celtic music-4 cds for that price. My sister-n-law 4 Patsy Cline CDS for that price. I can't wait until X-mas, when she she's that. Her face will light up. Also got a videotape of old time grand old opery singers for my brother -in-law. He loves that stuff. Got two for $10, so I have one here if he comes to visit, too. It's the only music he'll listen to. He hates modern CW and rock, etc. Take care

Hi Maxine, I will often buy a Sunday paper to get the free CD or DVD if it is one I am interested in but I also go into all the freebie sites and got a few DVDs last year from one for my son. The charity shops aren't allowed to sell books, CDs, DVDs that have come free with magazines etc so I will often pick some up there and give a donation, the same with clothes hangers, I will never pay for them. Ellie :D

I've found albums in bargain bins reduced to 99p and stuff before, which is always great! I've never found any CD in a charity shop that I'd buy though, I guess not many metal fans donate their CDs, haha.
