I very rarely check unknown emails. If I feel the mail is not legitimate I just delete it straight away. I don't bother to open it up. Many times these mails are viruses and used for phishing as well. They tell you to enter details and then steal all the information.
Such types of mails even if opened should just be ignored. Never enter details unless your really very sure its original.

It depends on. If the email seems normal rather than a spam email address, or the title is attractive, I will still open these unknown emails. I am not so afraid of the computer virus. I've used the computer for a very long time. If I have to worry so much, I can't have a progress.
I love China

haha, what kind of email is normal?u can distinguish spam emails from the safe ones? i think the reason why these unkown emails should not open carelessly is that it is hard to tell whether it is safe.

i have account in hotmail which blocks the links of unknown users... so you can read the mail and if you think its safe i go forward with it. also i have an anti virus in my computer... so i am really not that scared. my other id is yahoo which has nortan anti virus and it automatically checks your mails and warns you if there is any virus threat.

I am not in a habit of cheaking unknown mails,in fact,I immediately delete it,whenever I recieve one of them.I think, those are spams and my computer can get affected by virus too,by opening this mails.
