Review Stream is so RUDE

I just tried submitting a review to Review Stream and got the rudest error message ever. It just said "Your review is not valuable to us." I'd written a movie review so I'm presuming they had the title tagged as something they already have many reviews of but their wording is horrible. I mean, way to beat on someone's ego. Why not something like, "This is a heavily reviewed subject that we no longer require reviews of?" Has anyone else experienced this at all?

I'm afraid i haven't but i agree its a very rude way of rejecting someones review and could have been worded much more politely. i don't think i'd want to submit a review for them again if i saw that message after all my hard work spent creating the review in the first place

I think I got the same sort of message from them at one time. I translated that to mean that my review was not long enough. It put me off of Reviewstream for a long time, but just recently I submitted two reviews to them. I am waiting to see what happens with those. I hope I dont get the message that you did. I would be disappointed. I dont think everybody who writes for Reviewstream is a talented writer, they should be alittle bit flexible.

I don't know whether I'm a talanted writer but I certainly write in proper English, rather than text or 1337 speak, and check my writing for errors. I think it was also around the same length as the last review I wrote, which they accepted. Show knows! Glad it's not just me though.

I did! And when I politely sent them an email asking how that can be, I got a very, very rude response from someone who writes broken English! I stopped writing for RS. They don't deserve honest people's time.

Review stream does look like a rude website, and it is hard to navigate around. However I'm sure that there are better websites out there, for all us! :) xx.

Hi, dagda24. I submitted 2 reviews to ReviewStream last few days and received their responses after 3 days (yes, it states up to 72 hours to review). They paid me full rate of USD2 per review. The suggestion (Please try to be more specific...) are the same for both responses. I think they have set many pre-defined texts for each category. I had sent an email to them to ask if I can post review which had been reviewed by someone, they replied with the answer "Yes". Perhaps, you does not express your feeling, touch or comments clearly on the item that your reviewed. They may not mean to be rude but try to express something in a shorter word possible - imagine how many reviews they need to review everyday. Anyway, don't give up. I'm sure that you will not receive this message again. Good luck.

haha well.. i have received that message a couple of times and i do admit that those are the reviews that i created so fast, i just typed away. i mean, i admit it was my mistake that i got the message. all i do is i return to the review i made, re-read it and rephrase it. often times the second time i submitted the review, it is accepted.

I have recently started to submit to review stream, I have not had this happen to me yet. I guess that they either had too many reviews submitted to that particular one or it was not long enough, but it seems a very abrupt way of telling you.

I don't know whether I received that message before or not. Did it say anything about submitting for the bulk rate? I think some of the messages from Review Stream can be a little odd. For example, even when they publish a review, the message still says on the bottom that you should be more specific -- every time -- so that is clearly a form response. Also, sometimes I think their message says that the review was not valuable at the regular rate, but invites you to try again at the bulk rate. If I get that message I usually try to improve my first review, maybe make it a little longer -- and that usually works. Maybe you should try beefing up your review a bit before deciding that they won't accept a review of that movie at all. Good luck.

i got the same response from them. i did check on some of the reviews to find out whats wrong with the one i wrote. i just lose all my interest with them. they can rephrase that message and make it sound a little polite.

I do not think Review Stream is rude, it just means your review is not long enough. It has to be at least 200 words or more... and unless you counted, I suggest you write more. I think they're great, in two days I earned about $8.40 :)
