I was very upset when I heard this on the local news. Over the weekend a 3 year old toddler was killed by two men who were not careful while operating their jet ski. According to state law, personal watercraft operators are supposed to lower their speeds to 5 mph when near beaches frequented by bathers. According to the news reports, the two men were travelling at about 15 to 20 mph when they struck the child. On top of that, both men had been drinking. The results of the toxicology reports on both of them haven't been released as of yet.
This just goes to show that people need to be extremely careful when operating watercraft of any size. And those of us that like hanging out on or near the beaches need to be as vigilant as possible when it comes to keeping an eye out for the idiots in this world that simply don't care about the results of their actions...at least not until they cause some type of harm that is.

OMG!! What a nightmare!! The Aunt must feel horrible....It just irks me to no end that people have to act so stupid..What were they doing in 6 inches to a foot of water and so close to people?...Idiots....Having been drinking is not an excuse...There is no reason this child should have been killed...Man, I hate people sometimes....
