Yesterday the connection was slow, there were not so many calls since it was a holiday. And today when I came here this morning I thought it was ok, but sad to say it came worst since its already down. Yikes, with all the calls coming in, I have to set a limit of just 40 calls an hour, its still my 4th hour and I know I wont survive if I keep on accepting calls. I guess the 40 per hour limit is just fair for me, of course I dont want to end the day with so much stress. Im ready for the 40 calls only, im sorry but I have to do it to serve a lot more I just pity those who really needed it, its the first day of work today and they are not happy with whats going on. Its system problem and I know ur IT are making their best to solve the problem as soon as they can. God bless you all!

Well, in our kind of work we ahve to work as a cow and even on holidays still the calls would flood because the people are at home and all they have to do is call and call us and make their complain and of course others are just very vocal about it and very angry at times. have a nice day and take care my friend. take and happy mylotting.

That has to have been a long day for all of you in there.People tend to feel upset when they loose their DSL. You need a lot of good communication tools to get through a day like that and be able to get home and let it all go. Sending you a hug because after a day like that I"m sure you could do with one :)

Well, I understand that they would be upset with their connection down, I would feel the same since I have a dsl conection at home. The disadvantage is that im in the position where im helples and just act as calm as I could. have a nice day and thank you for sharing and for yout time!

I know. Being on the phones you will be the first person in the "line of fire" it's not even that people want to take it on you, but they're frustrate and you're the person that they can unload their frustration on.THey know there is nothing you can do, but at the same time they have to let it out I guess. I"m sure that some people are more polite than others and I can even see a few being really rude. Hope that doesn't happen that often. It's a job that can be both nice and very stressfull.

wow 40 calls a hour already sounds like a lot to me. kudos to you for even managing that! is there a sort of minimium or maximum standard that your company sets for you? IT problems are always unpredictable. And perhaps if your company put out a general statement that you are dealing with this issue then fewer people would be calling in to complain since they already know that something is being done.

No theres no standard, ususally the calls dont really flood like this I just made my own standard and maybe its sort of high than the usual coz I tend to have the same answer to all the callers making my sentences shorter than the usual and taht they just understand the problem, but there are others who are not reallt that considerate when they have this very important interne transactions, Im just glad its over and done with. have a nice day and happy mylotting!!!!
