I just don't know why Gretchen won Pinoy Idol... I'm really disappoint with the results especially when they didn't say the voting stats... kinda unfair for Jayann... I don't have something against Gretchen but I really do like Jayann to win the competition...

Oh, so Gretchen won. Lol. Honestly, I don't know about Pinoy Idol's results because I don't like the show. xD
But there's one thing I have to agree on. There are a couple of episodes I've watched and I think Jayann is better.
Ah, the voting system these days. Disappointing.

yeah, I think Jayann really do deserve to win the competition... I'm just a bit disappointed by some of her performances but I think she's really much better than the winner... Gretchen is not a bad performer at all, it is just in my own opinion she doesn't fit to be the Pinoy Idol...

I prefer Ram among the 3 finalist, but between Jayann and Gretchen, Jayann deserve the title. In an interview in GMA7 Gretchen admitted that she is more pressured now that she won the title because according to her she doesnt really have many fans. Where all the votes came from that made her win Pinoy Idol if she doesn't have many fans?

yeah me too, I want Ram Chaves to won the title but sad to say... He's out already... Gretchen family is rich, got those political connection and family riches to spend on votes for her...You know what money can do nowadays, it is really powerful...

Ooohhhh! I've been dying to give my two-cents worth on this issue. Why did Gretchen win? One, because she is a politician's daughter and not just any politician but one with so many resources at hand that they can afford to throw to back her up.
Two, she won because the judges did not know better when they chose her to be among those who qualified for the public to keep on the show. So, since this is text voting, the one with the resources will definitely stay.
Third, it only goes to show what kind of mentality Pinoys have when it comes to choosing who deserves to win. Pretty much like politics. The "pakikisama" system (kinship) is so ingrained in us that we are willing to support those who do not deserve the support because they aer hardly qualified for it.
So just like the elections, we have to live with the choices we make. You wanted someone else (and not Gretchen) to win, you should have supported them 1000 per cent.

Oh my! I don't believe this. I don't really watch Pinoy Idol but I've seen gretchen performed. Is this the Pinoy Idol? Voting is not fair and I heard that gretchen is from a rich family..politician father. So what do we expect! Pinoy Idol.. Oh sorry David Cook your still the best!

This is Pinoy Idol we're talking about though. Were you able to watch last season? The voting results and the judges' decision were so different that by the latter leg of the competition, the judges weren't even giving constructive comments anymore. They were too jaded; after all, what's the use of giving pointers and crits when the watchers don't pay them attention and just vote for the hottest looking one or the one with the saddest back story?
Ryan Cayabyab and Pilita Corales. People who've been in the industry for who-knows-how-long. You'd think they're opinions would matter, even a little bit, but apparently not.
(A little disclaimer: I didn't watch this season due to huge disappointments regarding the last one, so this opinion is more a comment on the way things often happen and not a discussion on who's better between Gretchen and Jayann.)
