wat if the earth stops spinning??

well there is a serious theory behind the spining of the earth!!! If you have watched the movie THE CORE then it would be clear!!! if the core of the earth stops spinning then we would eventually loose our magnetic south poles and north poles!! as a result of which we would be subjected to microwave radiations!1 lightenng storms, cosnic radiations!! and so on!!!!! wat is your view??

We would loose gravity too would we not ? Now imagine that, what would it be like to float around. This theory would have too many ramifications. Better not thought about.

i don't think we would lose gravity because gravity depends on the mass of the object not on its movement.

Nature has its own way of finding solution to a problem. We are only speculators, if earth stops spinning then there are many other things that will start happening besides earth loosing its magnetic character like we won't be having days and nights on every part of the planet, each part on this planet will have either day or night.

i have watched The Core too. I think some of the effects of the earth stopping from spinning showed in that movie can happen but not all of it. Its a movie.
