what do you think of hurdler Liu Xiang's pull out?

If he was hurt what else could he do? He might have hurt himself worse and not have been able to compete in the future if he ran with an injury. Plus he wouldn't have won or done well anyway if he was hurt but then people would have said he was just faking because he didn't win. It takes strength to know when you can't do something.

i am not Chinese but i was really sad when i read in the newspapers that Liu Xiang withdrew because of an injury. i never knew of liu xiang before until i saw the commercial of Visa card where he chase a tiger (?) to get back the doll of a little girl. i got fascinated at him and so i discovered that he is the fastest in the sports of hurdle. i was waiting for him excitedly in the Beijing Olympics. anxious to read about him whether he would win or not. and there, i was disappointed when i read he couldn't make it because of an injury. i was really sad. i hope he is okay and i hope his injury would heal soon.
