I haven't done that. I just read to help me sleep. How about you?

No, I've never tried it. I'd rather think about some pleasant things or some nice places. Sometimes not thinking also helps.

No, I don't count sheep. But I sometimes do mathematical things in my head just to relax Often I don't have to do much of anything as I take Tylenol PM for back pains and I am too sleepy to think about anything when I go to bed.

Lol. I haven't tried it. Haha. But if I can't sleep I go online continuously or watch programs on tv.

I like to dream that I am a ninja and I go around battling the evil of the world throughout the ages. I never really get very far though because I fall asleep. The sheep don't personally work for me. I think I am allergic to sheep and although thinking about them doesn't make me sneeze why think about something unpleasant?

No I don't count sheep. It has been many years since I have counted sheep when I couldn't sleep. Normally I will lay there and clear my mind and that seems to work. Maybe I'll be nostalgic and count sheep when I can't sleep every now and then.

Try it, it worked sometimes for me. However, don't imagine restless, bounding, jumpy sheep. The technique is to relax you. Imagine a big pasture, green, peaceful and the sheep lying down and sleeping in one line. Then imagine yourself to be floating over the pasture, swooping down gently on the sleeping sheep, counting it and then floating again. Generally, you'll find yourself relaxing and drifting off. If you have other thoughts, let them come, be aware and then gently push them out of your mind.

I have tried it, and it works! I know anything repetitive can work. A meditation of some kind or pray can also get you to sleep faster! have you seen how easy it is to fall asleep in church?

No I don't either because it doesn't help me. I do make my bed more comfortable so that I could relax and sleep soundly. If I can't sleep I try to think of things that are relaxing.

I used to have this one book where it tells you "How-Tos" with a lot of differen things. And one of them is how to fall asleep when you can't. The most that works for me is try doing the alphabet backwards. But now that I can do it so many times it's harder. So I had to change to a different method. I usually put on soothing music like instrumental or the like to relax my mind so I can sleep.
