I've read this book twice and I like it very much. It's a very touching story about the life of a black horse,I cried when I read the part that the Black Beauty risked his life saving his mistress. The feeling is just like reading Call of Wild, also a wonderful story. What do you think?

this is my favorite book for all times...
its a pity... the author is no longer around to do another kind of story like black beauty...
this is the book in which I really cried...
before "the diary for nicholas"

Dear Galena, you are right. The part about Ginger is really very very sad and heartbreaking.Although Black beauty undergone a lot of difficulties during his whole life, after all he has a happy end which is kind of relief to us.So I quite agree with you about that.

I read the cook when I was little. It's a classic, so my mom gifted it to me. I remember loving the book. Don't remember the whole story vividly though. Now that you reminded me about it, I feel like reading it again...:)
