hi everyone... last last Saturday i attended a program. one of the speaker tell this inspiring story i want to share to you now... in japan there was this young man he is on the final interview with the big boss of the company he is applying for, his dream job. on the last moment the boss asked this unusual question that this young man never encountered in any other interviews before...the boss asked " have you washed your parents foot?" the young man reply "no i haven't done it". then the boss said ok you may leave we are not going to hire you. confused the young man walked out...but thinking again he went back to the big boss and said. "give me a chance i will washed my parents foot tonight".the boss agree to meet him tomorrow. as the young man's father came home that night. he told his father to let him washed his feet so that he will get the job. confused the father agrees to this unusual request. as the young man begins to wash his father's feet he notice something unusual, the skin texture is rough. it must be tough his father has gone in raising him to get that kind of skin texture. tears begin to drop on his face... the next day he went to the big boss and said "its not important that you wont hire me or not" but i am thanking you to give me opportunity to wash my father's feet that i now realized being grateful for what he has done to me... the boss said you are hire you can start immediately tomorrow.. SMILE ALWAYS...^_^

Hi metal_monkee! That is a very nice story to share with us here. Thank you for sharing it and reminding us somehow, whether we do are aware of our parents struggles and sacrifices for us..still it is good to always be reminded one way or the other. I am very thankful for the love and sacrifices my parents have unselfishly given to me and my brothers but there are times that I do take my father for granted. I always think that he can manage to live by himself because I know him to be a very strong person. But as years passed by, I could sense his loneliness since my mother passed away and I have been trying to regularly visit him once a week just to show him I love him and I care. But I know that is not enough compared to what he has given me and I hope that one day, I could give him so much. Take care always..God Bless!

Hi kapatid! It was really a touching story. We always have to instill in our minds and hearts that if not because of their love and sacrifices, we won't be where we are now. And it is right that we honor and respect them by showing them how much we love and care for them too. lovelots..faith210

hi ate faith... thanks...that you like the story...actually when the speaker is giving this story it made me cry. not the non stop flowing cry...but just a drop of tears in my eyes... it made me realized the roughed texture of the feet and the gray hair on my parents they are not young anymore and we should love them...and do something that they will appreciate... SMILE ALWAYS...^_^

hai just to share with you .. it is in our custom to drop and kiss our parents and elders feet , we call it blessing from the elders .. we are bowing down to the elders and kissing them accepting their knowledge and wisdom gai, ned during their long stay here . During our wedding ceremony, the bride and groom are also requested to wash our parents feed for bleesing .. when i did that on my wedding day, i saw tears on my parents eyes .. their daughter ..i do not know why this ritual is there but it actually shows love and appreciation cheers
