I was just wondering, how the mobiles changed our lives. Today we cannot hope to live without them, but is it good for personnal life. As for me my boss calls me, when I am at my home and I cannot leave the call unanswered. I just cannot explain why I didn't attend or call back. With all the features it has got I can see no way of escaping from it. This is resulting in loss of personnel life for me. What about you? Have you figured how to escape from mobile.

I am very careful who I give my mobile number to. I use the phone mainly for keeping in contact with my sons and am happy to hear from them anytime of the day or night. The only other people who have my number are my mum and close friends. I have not given the number to my employer so, if I'm not at home with my landline they have to either leave a message with whoever is home or try later.

Mobile phone gave me an easy life. This is a gadget that i cannot live without. It a big help to my professional life as well as for my personnal life. But i got two mobile phone from different mobile telecom network. The other is for my personnal use and the other is for my professional use. And when i don't want to be disturb by neither of the two, i turn off one phone and if someone ask me why im out of reach the other day, i told them that my mobile phone battery is low-batt. And i don't have time to re-charge it.

Having a cell phone or mobile phone as it is also called can prove to be quite convenient depending on how you use it. Personal reasons especially when it is an emergency or needing to stay in touch with a spouse or other family member is paramount also. Every once in a while I find myself without one and it is a little inconvenient. Once you have one you will feel lost without it!

Hope you will not mind my rather not-like-me answer. I think sad persons they are who just receive calls from office boss. What about those calls from your sweat heart? Or, those secret calls that you can make during busy office hours? What about those SMS jokes/ word-crafts that keep you occupied during travel? If you have not joined twitter, do so early and start following few people. The world will be at your finger tip always. I find my cell phone very much engaging, I send lots of SMS and receive few interesting messages as well. My cell phone gives me the opportunity to reach out to anyone and everyone, whenever I feel the need. Besides, receiving calls from my very much courteous office bosses, I receive few calls from persons who care for me. Might be, I am bit fortunate in this regard.

Mobile phones are a great asset to me being disabled. They let me go off on my own for a little while, but still be connected to other people in case something happens. Of course, they also let people invade our personal space way more than they used to be able to. Now my mother can call me at any minute of any time of the day. I don't like this even though I like my mother. I feel invaded. I can't imagine if my boss could just call me whenever he wanted, although he has my cell number so I assume he can if he wants to.

Actually it depends on theway you use the mobile phones... If we are going to use cell phones... to make some very important calls and deliver some message to others.. Than it would really be helpful for personal life... But if we use cellphone... whole day and night without any reason.. just to keep talking with your chik... then that would be too bad or a personal life... So hope u got my view clear.... happy posting on mylot.....^_^

I think that technological advances have made our life more convenient when we consider the saving in time. However this comes at the cost of a certain intrusion into our personal lives. This can't be avoided. As the world becomes more and more wired where a person can be contacted in a matter of seconds even while he/she is miles across the world,it does become very difficult to not be pestered by untimely or unwanted calls. But then the choice is ours whether we want to attend those calls or no.Overall the benefits of mobiles far outweighs its disadvantages.

yes, I do experience the same thing. I have friends who call me now and then and I am the kind of person who really is not attached to my handphone and I really prefer to focus on other things other than my phone. They expect me to pick it up rightaway and I am tired of explaining to them that I am not avoiding them. I agree with you on this.

its good to have a mobile phone at hand. for communication purposes especially to your loved ones who are far from you. but if you're talking of it for your working purposes... well, it might have some disadvantage, just like your boss keeps pestering you 24/7... nah, that's bad!

Lucky for me I'm not working yet so no calls from bosses. In fact for me, my phone is quite the opposite, rather silent and inactive so I used the phone more for its inbuilt features like games and GPS then its main phone functions. And if anyone undesirable calls, I won't answer. =) If he/she asks when we meet, I always have excuses at hand such as never received SMS or call(it does happen in real life), phone faulty, mixed up my phones(i've got a number of phones i alternate). But then, its not THE boss. So well.. Hope your boss realises his lack of consideration soon! =)

mobile phones are one among the fastest means of communication and they are making our lives easier. In recent times, usage of these mobiles has grown up and some people are so addicted to mobiles that they can't imagine their lives without mobiles. And excess usage of mobiles will affect our health.

You have to tell your boss that your at home, your having personal time, he is invading he or she that is. Be up front with them, I don't think it would result in the loss of your job, and if it does than thats just not fair and you need to find some place better. Mobil phones are good for certain things,I wouldn't even of known that my mom was in a bad accident if she didn't have one.Depends how you look at it.
