I have nothing that is actually material in the sense of jewellery etc that I consider precious. What is precious to me is my wife here with me in Egypt and my children back in Australia. The rest doesn't really mean anything to me! By the way this is not being said to take away from you your feelings regarding your necklace; if I had of received something like this too then I would treasure it also! I just haven't ever been given something like this..... You are very lucky to own something that means so much to you! Maybe you too will pass it on someday and it will become even more treasured in the future!

even though it's not really a possesion, my most precious thing is my son. he turns 2 years old today and is basically the sunshine on my cloudy day.

Your necklace that you own does sound like a very precious possession. You seem quite sentimental. I would have to say my most precious thing to me is my four year old son,Andrew. He means the world to me and I wouldn't trade him for anything.
Children are very special people and I am sure that a lot of parents hold them as the most precious things they have in their lives.
