Today, I got to read more of the books I was scheduled to read. Thank God for that! Why? because I will watch over a sick relative in the hospital. Well, it can't be helped, so since sickness is something I don't have any control of. I will count my blessings instead. I would be able to do some work which I neglected the few days, and I can now read the other book I was supposed to read last week. So to all mylotters, there is always something positive to look forward to, what about you? Was there any similar incident like this that happened to you? Happy mylotting...going now....

Many years ago I heard a speaker say that there is good in everything that happens to us. The very next day I got up and had a flat tire in my driveway...at first I was upset thinking how I would be late for work then I realized the good.....that I wasn't driving down the interstate at a high speed with the kids in the car and then have a blow out.....so if you look there is something good in every situation!

Jenaisle, you have shown a consistency in keeping up your moral high irrespective of the happenings around you. Hats off to you for the character you have exhibited. Anyway, when I'm to attend hospitals for visiting my friends/relatives, or for meeting the Doctor on their behalf - I can hardly think of spending time by reading books. I feel very much worried most of the time. Before visiting the Doctor, I just repeatedly memorize the points to be highlighted and questions to be asked. If I'm to wait for more than few hours, I usually keep myself engaged by reading messages I receive in my Cell Phone and replying to some of them. But reading book under such circumstances is far beyond my capacity. Anyway, you have pointed out a great piece of advice - if we could count small blessings even during the period of turmoils, it would have been better.

I think the small blessing I ahve is that I can do what I want to for the most part. I dont have a lot of money right now becasue I dont ahve a regular job but at least i have freedom and flexibility and alittle bit of money coming in. I think you should always remember to look for the silver lining in the cloud.

That's a great thing to do. A couple of months ago, my fiancé and I split up for a couple of weeks. It was a very hard and sad time for me, but during those days, I got closer to college mates and other people that I wasn't close to before. They were really supportive and their caring for me was a blessing. So each night, instead of feeling sorry for myself, I would thank for all the new friends I was making. It was that attitude that kept me going, and made me stronger. So, keep it up! As you say, there's always something positive in every situation.
