I'd love to travel all over the world but long trips for me are few and far between. The longest trip I've taken was actually very recently. I drove from Maine to Kansas which was about 1500 miles.
I've only been to one other country and I feel like it barely counts. Canada. I grew up not too far from the border and a lot of people joke when I say I'm from Maine. "Oh, you're Canadian?"

I realized I didn't answer the question. Sadly, I make a significant trip less than once a year.

Unfortunately, my travels from Maine to New Brunswick didn't yield much cultural difference. If you fell asleep through the border checkpoint you might not even realize that you've gone into another country. hehe So I guess I can see why people may make that joke. There is that little piece of me that is annoyed because I'm proud to be an American and I don't like people even joking saying that I'm not. I'm sure you feel the same way being where you're from.
I would like to travel somewhere else in Canada or even Mexico. That would give me a good and easier head start in my conquering of the world :-)

"oh, you're canadian?" pal. joking aside, a trip to anywhere can well mean something. here in our country, one province can have a different culture from it's neighbor. canada is not kansas.
i look forward to learning to drive myself, when i can travel and stop at my own will and take on each scene without hurrying.
i hope you will get to visit the philippines.

I don't really get to travel that much to be honest with you. I go somewhere really nice every two summers, and in the summers in between we travel down to London to go round the galleries and the shops and try and get a bit of culture into our lives!
I went to Italy this summer.
I go on a lot of small trips within the country. I would love to see a lot more of the world though.

I really love to travel overseas and must do so at least once in a year in order to stay happy. I also have weekend trips and day outings to places in my home country each year. This year I went to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in the summer and I took two day trips to Wales. Next week I am going on a camping trip for a few days. My longest trip was around the world in 1993 and 1994. It lasted for just over one year. I went to Hong Kong, Western Australia and Singapore in 2000 for a few months. I went to New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands for a few months in 2001 and 2002. These days I have dogs so I don't like to leave them for very long. My holidays are 2 or 3 weeks nowadays.

I want to travel the world if I could. I want to do that all year round. But sadly, I can't. If we can manage two short trips in a year, that would be great.

once is not bad, at least you can take a breather. actually, i really thought that going out once in a while can help us when we are not on our usual selves. i mean, when i'm kind of depressed i look at this trips as my inward source of energy, a time when i get connected to an infinite source of strength, if you know what i mean.
good luck to your next trip, soon.

very often I would travel in train, that gives me pleasure and sometimes irritation also because I am traveling for more than 450 kms so that sometimes feeling bored. Otherwise, train journey is a jolly trip and I wish to go in the train which runs on the mountain. In our state, Iam train such kind of train which covers 85 kms in mountain regions. It is one of the best train in the world.
