network workgroup icon dissapears

Hi everyone, I'm using windows xp sp2 and 2 network interface cards (nics). I've set to share my internet connection with my brother, so ICS is enabled.. The connections work great and nothings wrong with that, except that in the workgroup in My network connections, where the computers appears inside the workgroup, my brothers computer dissapear! I still have access to his shared documents and folders, but the thing is that the computer icon dissapears. His solution is to reboot his system, but I don't think thats a nice solution.. What do you pleople think?
