do you let your children stay up late?

I'm guilty with this because I'm a working mother. I will only be able to bond with them when I get home from work at night. Hence, my kids also sleep late. How 'bout you? Are your kids also late sleepers or do they go to bed early?

I have the same feeling with you. I'm working also so that I only meet my children in the morning or in the night. If I have to do overtime, I will meet him in the bed, sleeping. I only have time to share with him in the weekend, so I try spend my time with my children exclusively.

If my children are good then i don't mind them staying up late, if they have been silly and naughty then i put them to bed early.
I try to get my three children in bed by 9pm on a school night but even so my ten year old has problems getting up at 7.40am in the morning, he just loves his bed.
My children who live at home are aged 10 , and twins of 8. I would really like to get them in bed earlier but they just mess about and I have to keep shouting at them so at least if they go at 9pm they mostly go to sleep.

My daughter is 5 so we are on a strict schedual! Her school starts earlier then most schools so we have to be up early in the morning to get ready. Her bed time is 8:30. She starts to get ready for bed around 8. Has her bath, plays on the computer for 20 mins then gets into bed and watches TV until she falls asleep. Even though its summer, we keep to the schedual as it's hard to get her back on it once school starts up again. We are a little more lienient on her but she also likes her sleep and is ready by 8:30 to go to sleep. I understand what you are saying about working late and only seeing your children then. If your kids are able to stay up late and still wake up in time for school then what harm is it.
