I'm trying to learn sign lanuage. I would really love to be able to sign very well, and interpret for others. Life is so busy, I'm having a hard time learning it. I try to learn a few words a day, and just go back over what I've learned. I'm hoping to be able to communicate with deaf people, but I still have so much to learn. Is anyone else trying to learn sign language out there??

I'm trying to learn online its hard not having anyone to practice with. A Community center for the deaf nearby has free classes but they don't start till January.

I was having a hard time too, you need to do it nearly everyday, if not everyday. you MUST make deaf friends, its very challenging but its the only way. You need to dedicate yourself to it.

i also want to learn that skill. I used to have a classmate in a review school, she's deaf so she always have with her an interpreter. Sometimes the class is distracted coz we can't help but sneak a glance to see if she gets what the professors are saying specially if its a joke or something... Well i guess, it really works coz she's laughing. It did motivate me to learn that skill but i don't know any school offering the service. If i learn it, i'd definitely volunteer and offer my service for free.
