USA Women's volleyball team

Has anyone been following the USA women's volleyball team? I just saw their 5 games with Italy this morning. It was touch and go there for a little while. I was afraid that Italy was going to knock the USA out. But the Americans held in there and won the 5th game of 15 points. They move on to the semi-finals, I think they said, and will play the undefeated Cuban team. Their coach, Jenny Lang Ping, led China to their victory over the USA in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. The USA came into the Olympic games ranked 4th. They have lost only one of their games here in Beijing. Their best finish was in 1984 when they received the silver medal. http://www.sltrib.com/ci_10245415 I will be cheering on our home team when they do meet Cuba.

Hi Barb,
I was following them and I am enjoying a lot but I wasn't able to watch the last game..I am frustrated and I posted it here..lol! I don't have any idea who won!

The American women won, shutting the Italians out. Don't have a clue as to whom they will be playing in the next round. The American men are now facing Servia, and they had better straighten up or they may be out after these 5 matches. Right now, in the first round, it doesn't look good.

I wish I had some time to follow.
But right now I am sitting and Barney is playing on TV.
My daughter is watching Barney right now. (this is already my break time)
IN the past she did not watch tv, so i have to be lucky that she is watching tv too.
I do read about it alot on line when I have a chance.
I hope they win and bring home at least one gold medal.

yes,USA Women's Volleyball team is a great team,with the great coach jenny Lang Ping,they won the gold medal final,but Chinese women's volleyball team just won the bronze medal,but it is ok,congratulations to USA and Chinese women's volleyball teams!
