I am not religous(and I have no problem with people who are).Among scientists the common belief is 'the big bang theury' right? In other words, there was nothing, and then there was a big bang that created energy and matter blah blah blah.Stars formed, then solar systen, then entire galaxies, etc. etc.,and finally life and space as we know it today.Ok,i'm fine with the 'big bang theory' and evolution, but what gets me is,what started the big bang.I mean if there was absolutely NOTHING,how could SOMETHING start from NOTHING?

Dude, you are not alone. That question bothers me since I was little kid, and yet, decades later I haven't find the answer. Maybe, CERN will help us next week (if you have heard about their experiment)
