I find the bible quite useful in my daily life. I use mine as a doorstop to keep the wind from blowing my office door shut. It does a good job and is very useful.

It did not really affect how I feel in the least. It was an honest answer to the question asked.

The whole Bible is pretty much useful for everyday life. Proverbs has numerous wise sayings to live by. You could try reading a chapter of Proberbs everyday, since there are 31 chapters, it fits right it with the days of the month. Romans and Galations are great books, too. It tells you how to become a Christian, and James tells you how to live as a Christian. The book of John tells you all about Jesus - how He IS God, how He loves us, and how He lived as a man. Ask God for guidance. It's only by His Spirit that we are able to comprehend His Word.

fightingistheonlyway, it depends on what you are looking for. There are good teachings in the bible that you can follow and there are wicked acts that are committed in the bible that you should not emulate but are useful to be aware of. Which one are you hunting for?.

Ephesians, chapters 4 and 5 are ones that i read daily. also Hebrews 11. i can't type it all out, so please read them. i can summarize: Ephesians tells you about how you should live; don't curse, don't lie, love everybody, etc. and Hebrews 11 talks about faith. these particular scriptures get me through a hard day, especially at work.

Apologies because I can't name the specific chapter or verse, but love thy neighbor as yourself is a good one. Really, the Ten Commandments are pretty good guidelines, too, if you overlook the archaic language. I realize I don't control what others do, but I can strive for a decent standard for my own behavior. The Golden Rule is helpful to me for this purpose.

It may seem a little overused, but John 3:16 is always a good one. While it doesn't give you useful tips for everyday life, it does remind you of what Christ did for you and that heaven is open to you. Despite all the stresses and hardships that life may offer, knowing you are forgiven and will be in heaven someday is always useful.
