In Singapore, Nokia and Sony Ericsson are battling out for the top title. Can't really tell which is in the lead because among those i know its a near even split. and on the streets, its also Nokia or Sony Ericsson.
I do own a Sony Ericsson but I use mainly my HTC TyTN II.

Just to split the long and sometimes confusing name, HTC is the manufacturer of the phone. The codename for the phone is Kaiser. If you buy the phone from HTC, it'll be called the HTC TyTN II. In the US, it is also sold as the AT&T Tilt. Anyway, HTC phone names can be extremely confusing.
But more on the phone. It is a PDA phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, making it easier to type out long stuff like emails. I love the design of it, although its a little fat and heavy, but its worth it for all the features. It also has GPS built in so I can navigate around a new area easily. Its just a brilliant phone in short! =)

There are so many choices here in the United States. I have a Virgin Mobile Plan and my phone is a Kocera WILDCARD. My daughter uses a nextel, and my friend has a nokia like you. There are so many kinds its tough to decide which to choose. I chose the WILDCARD because it has access and a full keyboard it opens up like a book. I love it. I hope you get to try other brands as well. GOod Luck friend.dl

Nokia is pretty prevalent over hear as well. I dont know if it is the most common
phone for people in the United States but alot of people use them. I personally use a motorola razer phone. It is a flip phone and is easy to use. I like it alos because it has a nice color screen and is fun to use. It has good recepetion.

Yeah I'm from the Philippines as well and Nokia is everywhere. It has the highest market value compared to other cell phones. i think Motorola is also gaining in popularity but overall Nokia's the leader. I think in the states, Blackberries and iPhones are very popular. It's harder to use those here in the Philippines because we can't get wifi everywhere. In the States, there's internet connection almost anywhere you go so those phones are definitely more advantageous.

In my country Kenya it is hard to know which Phone make is widely used, this is because when a phones make with new features like TV connection and other wireless technologies. People run for those new sophisticated phones and especially phones from China, but also Nokia phones is common too mainly in towns but if you go to up-country in the villages there people use Motorolar phones, reason is that it last for a long time after charging. I have seen Sugem also being used because it cannot lost the network sensitivity and you know we have two network providers and they have not soo much spreaded in some parts and especially in remote areas of the country. But nokia is the best .
