Did you ever pour bubbling water to egg to make simple soup?

Do you know the simple way to cook soup?
Beat an egg and put it to a bowl; pour bubbling water into it; add a little sugar. Then the soup is done.
Did you ever cook this simple soup?

To be honest that sounds totally nasty. Why would you want to have egg soup. I have never even heard of this before. I haven't even seen it in restraunts. I honestly don't think that I could stomach this and I will leave this one all over to you. I just couldn't eat it nor would I even be willing to try it.

Ahh! but if you add a couple of bouillon cubes, you might have something pretty tasty, such as egg-drop soup.

I often had it when I was a child. We raised chickens ourselves. Then we could get fresh egg and cooked this soup.
You know, whatever that is made of egg is delicious if the eggs are fresh.
But now I buy egg from surpermarket and I am not certain if the eggs are fresh, and I seldom have it now.

Even with the cubes I don't think so. Not even if the eggs were fresh. I will keep to the regular soups thanks.

I haven't cook a soup like that. But I have a different way of cooking an egg which has some similar ingredients like you have.
I put 1/2 cup of water in the pan, let it boil, place the egg let it cook in the boiling water, sprinkle some salt. And viola! its a sunny side up poach egg.
For a simple soup. I use instant noodle soup, then drop an egg. It seems you like egg too.

China began its reform after 1978. Before 1990, most of the Chinese are quite poor. Few people will have the soup now, but 20 years ago, it is quite good.

hmm.. i like soup but I haven't tried that recipe, what I usually do is potato egg soup.
what i do, mash the potato and suite it to onion and add some water and flavoring like chicken cubes and then add the soup after turning off the fire.

What I would do is boil water and drop the beaten egg.Stir with fork to shred the egg and I'd put salt instead of sugar. :)
