My 14 year old grandson's girlfriend is having his baby....

and she's 18!!!!
I asked my single parent (she's been divorced 5 years) dauhter - what happened? She said she's waorking and had no knowledge they had gotten together. The girl lives 4 doors down and he strolled over after school earlier this year. The baby is due late September and will be a girl. It's hard to think I'm 53 and will be a great-grandmother already! He's excited and still cant understand what a responsibility it's going to be. He's just starting high school!
Anyone else in the same pickle?

chilren having chilren, that is so very sad at he age where there are so many things for them to learn and enjoy .. they are going to be having responsibilities .. there is a proverb in my native language where is sounds similar to " RIPE AT THE TENDER AGE" ..

It seems like you are in a rough spot. He is going to get a rude awakening. She is 18 and you could press charges, but that will not solve anything. Love the child and make the best of it. I have not been in that situation, although I had my first child at 16.

hell naw!!!!!!!!! first of thats well... um RAPE! it seems to me that your not to upset about this would you be more upset if it was your 14 year old grandaughter got pregnant by an 18 year old???? and i have another question is the girl in jail for what she did
