For those who are using Vista or know something about it. Do you have partitioned drives? What size is your boot drive where Vista in installed? Do you find your current size sufficient? In case some want to see it, go to My Computer and right click on C drive, select Properties and see the capacity size.

when my friend and general do not use Windows list to as my default operating system but I am pretty sure it will take more than five GB of hard disk space. For it is better that if you're installing this the then keep another five GB of space free for the operating system to swap files. That means if you're going to install a lot of software is then you should keep the space in such a way that you have almost 5 GB of the disk space always empty for that particular partition want to work properly.

Hi Amitavroy, It appears it need more. 20G size partition is somewhat edgy. For an enthusiast one would install other programs and documents in another partition but only a few would do this.

I have a friend who installed the 64bit and it took 14G, if this is what a plain OS would occupy then 20G is too small. Thanks Mtsandeep, Vista is really a resource hungry OS.

I'm still using XP, heheI've assembled a new system - AMD 4800+, SATA Burner, 320GB SATA 2 HDD, still at 1GB though but runs at 800MHz. Put in an old DVD-ROM, you know me, being thrifty here, hahaahaI hooked up my old system to my TV outside as it has a S-Video Output so I can download movies with 2 systems. Oh, you would have figured out by now that the system outside is also connected to the internet ( through LAN that is so I can transfer my movies from inside to the system outside as well )

OS partition size is 30 GB of which 12 GB is used directly by Vista. Other applications take up about 5-6 GB. SO I think 30GB would be sufficient for loading Vista
