What shall I buy my wife/husband/mother/father etc

I understand what you mean. I remember when we were still dating, my husband took one of our common friends to buy me my birthday gift (i think the friends insisted on it actually). The top and bottom did not match and i still cannot waer the top! Last time his cousin was with him when he went to buy me a christmas gift (a charm bracelet). Afterwards he told me he was the one to chose coz what his cousin suggested did not appeal to him. I thank God he gave me what he chose coz it's the most beautiful gift ever! I cherish it and so is the 'enegagement' ring he chose for me... I don't like asking what to buy for others...sounds like you don't care at all...it's like you are giving money to some stranger and asking them to buy what they can get with the money as a gift... I'd rather have a sheet of paper with the words gift written on it by my husband than a gift he did not choose for me...
