This morning I rode an aircon bus on my way to my office. I chose the two-seater sides. I was the first one in that seat. Then a middle aged man sat beside me. His cellphone rang and then he answered but my goodness his breath was so bad. And by bad it really means so bad. I covered by nose and waited till he stops talking but it his conversation was so long. I couldn't be forever closing my nose so I told the Driver. "Please stop I'm going down". The conductor who was familiar with me coz I am their regular passenger was surprised why I had to go down. As I stepped down from the Bus,the Conductor kept asking me why, why, why? I told the Conductor. "I'm sorry the man beside me has a terrible breath what can I do?" And the conductor who would not know if he would laugh or what? If you were in the same situation would you do the same thing? Was I being so mean in doing that? Have you had similar experience with your bus seatmate?

So you do understand! It's really very distubing smelling that stinking breath. And how come these people don't know they have such bad smell in their mouth. Somebody close to them should tell and help them treat the problem. Thank you dear for sharing! Have a nice day!

Yes, it would be too rude to tell him on his face. It's better to get off because I had no choice. All the seats were already taken and I would not want to stand in the middle too. Thank you dear for dropping by!

It wasn't a bus seat mate but an officemate. She had this very bad breath, and we talked to her about it. She thanked us for telling her and we also realized that she had a digestive problem. She took medications and now it's gone.

Oh that's good. You made a right decision in telling her about it so that she could have it remedied. It's a good thing she is not okay. It's a terrible thing really. No matter how beautiful or how handsome a person is if his breath stinks.. every thing about him seems ugly. Digestive problem is really one reason for having bad breath. Well the man I encountered seemed to be a smoker and his body even smelled such.

What you did is the right thing. You are not being mean to do that. At least you didn't confront that person. And if you do, that's mean. As for me, If ever that situation will happen to me, I'd do the same thing. To think that it's an aircon bus. But if I were riding an ordinary bus or a jeepney, I'll just let it be. Good luck in your next bus ride. LOL. HUGZ.

Hi friend! Yes maybe if it was an ordinary bus I can always face the window while he was talking. Of course I don't have the guts to confront him! Ha!ha!ha! But I hope he had known the reason why I walked out so that he will do something about his bad breath. It was really terrible, I tell you!

i don't think u were being mean at all. i don't ride a bus so i haven't had the experience. there is no reason as much soap , water & toothoaste there is that anyone would go around like that. i don't see how they stand themselves.

Thank you for your kind understanding! You are right! There are many ways we can keep ourself smelling good. The man does not seem to have someone who cared. Why can't a wife or anyone in the house would tell him he needs some mouthwash or any remedy to his terrible breath. I wished I could tell him but I was afraid I would be too mean. Have a nice day madam!

I don't blame you. You had to breathe and people are horrible to walk around with bad breath and be in public with it. Kudos to you.

Thank you for understanding my situation. I am one person who is very sensitive when it comes to smell of a person. I gives me headache if I smell anything bad so I am really very choosy with my scents. I was so unlucky that day for having such a seat mate. It was really terrible and I was not prepared to have headache all day long.

i got a little confuse with your story..on your title it says "she has.." while on your story it was a he...but anyways i just wonder why do you have to take off the bus if you can switch to another seat?

My dear I am sorry for the typing error. This is the reason why I posted another topic asking apology for the mistake. Sorry if I confused you but thank you because you still cared to reply to me. I appreciate it. Well my dear I got off from the bus because all the seats were already taken and I have no other seats to transfer to. The bus normally stays at the terminal till it gets filled. Once all the seats are taken the bus will start to go to it's destination. I boarded the bus when it was already half-filled. I was so happy the front seat was not yet occupied because it was my favorite spot. When the man arrived and sat beside me, the bus was almost filled. Few minutes more and all the seats were filled and then we went. Hope I've already cleared your confusion. Have a nice day!
