we in our relationships often get to a point where we begin to be so comfortable with that someone to have shared in just one plate or pick into each other's food.
i for one, does this openly and my sisters often reprimand me. when i got into a relationship, i used to share with my partner's plate and he doesn't mind either.
this is natural for me, and i know that someone may find it really disdainful. have you guys been sharing with somebody else's plate, too?

i agree with you, i for example do it with friends that i am comfortable with but i am still keen in observing if my friend ha a distasteful habit or what before i do that.
I got that habit from my husband, way back when we were just starting our relationship, we dine out in a common friend's house and he was the one who got our food. i was shocked when he offered his plate to mine but went along... i got used to doing it and somehow applied it with good friends... and i never heard them complaining about it so far.... wish they won't ever lol

you remind me, there was this girl in a group before that we kept from sharing. it's not being snub but she has this habit that quite turns the group off.
with my friends, we get to really like share what we have on each other plate. then we could have a taste of a bit of everything. yey!
thanks for your response. happy posting.

My fiance and I share plates at when we're not really in a hurry to eat (translation: we're not starving... Lol. ) we enjoy eating together in one plate because we think of it as one way of bonding with each other. I find it sweet because I'd feed him when we're eating or vice versa. It's one of our cheap quality time activities that we enjoy doing.

My husband and I often share bites of food with each other. Especially if we're out eating and the other has ordered something new that the other hasn't tried before. Usually it goes like this " O' my gosh! Here try this...(shoves fork towards his mouth) :D
I don't see it as disdainful...I see it as being sharing and sweet. When we're at home and wanting a late night snack, we'll often just make one plate and eat off of it together.
