so i was on the phone with my mother...
who brought my brother to a dietiean.
so she told me, that the adpotion is being processed soon, and she will be meeting the soon-to-be parents next months.
and so, what made me cry was...
that the couple allowed us to see him even after he is offically in their family!!!!
oh my god...
after i heard i just started tearing and almost crying with happiness!!!!
he is our foster brother, you see, so we have no legal claim on him....
so us being able to see him after he is adpoted is already really lucky for us!!!
but...
i dont think i will be able to withstand the heartache if he leaves us....
its a damn if you do, damn if you dont situation...
if we adopt him we will not be able to give him the best things in life,
and if he gets adopted, we will miss him like hell...
and if he stays with us, well...
he will be really insecure right?
i mean, no REAL family...
that kind of stuff...

It's always sad when someone's leaving, specially when he's close to your heart already. You will really miss him, but what you did was for his own good. Don't worry, you'll get over it, as time goes by. Anyways, you can still see him, right?

well...
what i think is that, if getting over him leaving us means that we have to adjust him and all..
i dont want him to go, and i dont want to get over it...
and maybe being able to see him is good, but sooner or later it will just seem that it is a constant reminder that they have him and we dont...
and that will just really really hurt...
damn...
i am just so confused with it...
sorry for the scarestic post...
just so emotional about it...

I understand why you cried on the phone to your mum today. I know that your foster brother has been part of your life for four years and so his adoptive parents think it would be right for you and your parents to see him. He is bound to take some time to settle in with his adoptive parents. You will miss him so very much and even if it was possible for him to stay with your family he could have a better life elsewhere. Fostering is a temporary arrangement and adoption is a permanent arrangement. You will all be sad for sometime but knowing that your foster brother becomes happy and settled within the next couple of years should please you. Good luck.

Well, it is sad to note when you see someone so precious leaving from your house and company. But if it is for his own good then I think it is well worth it. Sometimes we have to give up something for the benefit of someone, giving up something for something that is bigger in return for someone else is such a great thing to do. It is somewhat like heroism. So, don't you worry, I am sure that its well worth it. Best to you!

Family is not by blood or adoption honey. I have 2 really good friends who are my family. No blood,no adoption, just a whole lot of love. Even when you continue to see this little man after the adoption you can call him family.I don't think there would be any insecurities on his part as long as there was lots of love and support. My best to you and your mom.

... yah ... its kind of hard, if we already made a bond with people close to us.. just think of what is good for him.. he deserves it really..
