Hi Louise first you need to wipe the word diet out of your head... its changing your eating habbits .. you also need to learn about your bio rythems.. when they kick in you need to eat something . depending on your calorie intake pick snacks that fit into your daily intake . You also need to excersise to boost your metabolism in order for you to burn calories, and reduce inches.. forget the numbers on the scale, reducing your body inches is what you want most. This will have you in smaller sizes in no time . I lost 70 lbs .. 21 of them came from working with a personal trainner. I eat chicken, fish, turkey. I don't drink soda not even diet soda.. I drink water and diet green tea.. I watch my sugar intake and fats. I eat whole wheat instead of white bread becouse white flower turns into sugar in your body. I eat what ever I want with portion control and within my calorie limit .. I personally eat 1,815 calories a day . Ahealthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. Keeping a diary of what you eat is very helpfull and you will be suprised when you write it all down how much you are really eating. If you are serious about reducing your weight you have to do what it takes to help you reach your goal. I hear alot of people say oh its too much work to do all that .. to me they are not serious about getting healthy and they are not willing to do what it takes. No its not easy but once you get intio a routine it becomes second nature to you . each nite before I go to bed I write out my menu for the next day .. make what I have to take to work with me .. and its a done deal ..:) Just my two cents

I am glad to be of some help to you :) Bio rythems are twangs of hunger .. but not like your REALLY hungry.. when they hit you need to have a snack. That snack belive it or not will hold you over .. just add a snack list to your journal and chack off the snacks as you eat them durning the day .. there are alot of 100 calorie snack packs out there .. yougrts etc .. I hope your belly feels better soon so you can start to excersise :)

I think that your Awesome! Thanks so much for all that great information! I have started to journal food intake. I am going to get a new tablet tomorrow. A bigger one so that I can add things like emotions, and what I ate after certain ones! What exercises I am doing on what days.. etc.. I have not started working out as of yet, Beacuse I am getting abdominal pain. and I am going to be getting some testing. I never heard of Bio Rythems. Can you please tell me more! And Yes! I agree I keep calling it a diet. and it is not. It is life style changes!

I recently went off a diet, it was sort of ruined over a weekend while a friend was here, we went out to eat and had a lot of high calorie snacks and desserts. Well that about ruined it for me. I went off the diet slowly, for about a week I was trying to get back to it, but it just wasn't happening. Now, a couple weeks since I've given up the diet, I'm noticing I'm a bottomless pit. I just can't stop eating. I think you'd be disgusted if I told you how much I ate yesterday, lol.

When I get around her I like to eat. * A Lot* So I had made several huge mistakes. I have been having a aweful time getting back on the Wagon! I won't be deigusted! We can try to give each other support here... ( just stay out of my kettle corn LOL )

Yes, stress does tend to make us eat more. I think part of my problem is after the diet was blown, I fell into a depressed episode (I suffer from depression). I'm not sure if the depression caused the eating, or if the eating caused the depression, but they tend to go hand in hand. It is a viscious cycle for me. Soon I will break free of my depressed cycle and probably get back into dieting, but then it will happen all over again.

Been there! Done that! Got the tee-shirt! I agree that depression seems to go hand in hand with the eating. And I agree that one can trigger the other. I think that they need to be doing more Clinical studies of this. I would be a volunteer!

Have you heard of the French diet? You might want to try it. I have read somewhere that the reason why French women have nice figures is because they eat everything in moderation. They only take a bite or a piece of something even if it is chocolates. In that way they are not depriving themselves from eating anything and still keeping their great figures.

Are you hungry or do you just want to eat - because the point of losing weight isn't to starve yourself - also when we do this to an extreme we tend to binge. I used to tell my clients when they come in saying things like, I've been craving a chocolate bar - I said have it! And they would and still reach their goals. Other counselers call it bad to eat things like this and yet their clients gained weight - many times because they would crave and crave and then binge! I bet you're doing fantastic though. Its great that you're losing and keepin gat it. I'm sure you'll reach your goal!

Its good that you like most foods, it must make making healthier choices a lot easier. I'm glad you focus on your wins - like doing much better - rather then the negative stuff. We all slip but its all about going forward. Its going forward that really counts.

Yep, it's very hard, especially when you first start. One thing that helped me get rid of cravings between meals was to stop drinking anything with artificial sweeteners. I had read that they cause cravings. So I mostly just drink tea and water. That helped a LOT. But mostly you just have find things you can live with, both with diet and exercise. If you're eating things you hate, doing exercise you hate, it will be a lot easier to fail than if you can find things you like. Which is why sticking to somebody else's rigid program often does not work. Programs with flexibility may seem like there are too many choices but they work better in the long run. Anyway good luck!

Well, I think all can relate with you on this one. I know for sure with me, I am on a Medication to help with my Blood Sugar level since I am Diabetic that has helped to curve my appetite some, and so I have lost at least 20 pds. with it. Most days I can only eat a certain amount or I get nauseated, etc. But then I do also still have the days where I just want to eat all of the time as well. So I can relate with the frustrations you are experiencing there as well.

Oh, I would love to post one of those as well.(New, slimmer me) I do not see a lot of results for my efforts, but it could not possibly be that I am glued to my computer. I would lose weight, I guess, if I had to pedal a bike to generate the power to run my computer. We should fill up on water and fiber, we are told. Well I do, but I still am a gainer.Or at least not a loser.

I have a very good and workable idea to loose weight. There is a milk shake from HERBA CARE called formula 1 nutrition shake mix. Drink it instead of breakfast. It fills your stomach. If ur stomach is full there would be no chance of thinking food. And take healthy lunch.Take one glass of milk shake in place of dinner.u will see positive results in one month. LOOSE WEIGHT NOW. ASK ME HOW.

I have tried Herbalife before. I got chest pains. I am not sure why I could not use it! I wanted to be able to use it. I paid a lot of money like over $100.00 for some supplies.

I have the same problem. I am trying to lose weight, and I should exercise more, but i also need to make money on myLot, so conflict of interests. I find that if I eat some protein in the morning, I can last a little longer. But when I was trying out the weight watcher's diet that is all I thought about. I did buy some protein bars and for a while I had one each morning and that helped. But most of the time, I would have to be away from food. It is so hard!

lol. I see myself on you. yeah, it is so hard not to eat the foods that you really want when you are on diet. but of course, if you really want to reduce weight, you just have to focus, and determined about it. I know it is so hard at first, but nothing is easy. just keep motivated and think of yourself on how will you look if you are sexy.LOL. I think that will keep you motivated.

You should try to keep yourself real busy. Take your mind off idleness. Try to find some new hobbies to engage yourself in. Once your mind is distracted, you wouldn't even think about food. Of course, when it's time to eat, you must eat. You should not starve for the sake of dieting. A balanced diet is most important.

You aren't on the right kind of diet. A good diet has a load of food and you won't go hungry. Fruits, vegetables, grains, fish, etc.

Dieting is hard. I have tried dieting too. Its really hard, but everytime you feel hungry just eat fruits or water, you won't gain weight by doing that. Good luck to you. The little baby birds are really cute. Always hungry!

well they do say its harder for a woman to loose weight than a man. i have been home for a few months (due to sick leave) and will prolly not go back to work and i too have noticed that i have gained a bit of weight, so what i am doing is drinking a lot of water and eating rice cakes (the popcorn ones are actually quite tastey! and filling!)

You could get some low cals snacks and when you feel hungry just eat some of them. You can also drink water and coffee that tricks the body and it will think that is food! Another one is to eat many times a day so the metab increases. Check the cals and the amount of energy you are spending! Tell me if it helps ok?

I have bought several different kinds of 100 calorie snskc packs. I might just be in the way too much1 I am writing everything down now. Going to be on track better! I am not spending that many caloires right now at all. I am going to go see the Dr. today for stomach pain. After I am all better I will be spending more calories.
