We Survived Tropical storm Fay

Well..... We survived tropical storm fay but we did get quite a bit of damage. It was a pretty powerful storm thats for sure. There were moments we thought we would have to run for our lives but luckily we didnt. We are dissapointed with the news stations tho because all they seemed to be worried about was the coast when we were getting hammered! Just wanted to let everyone know we made it thru the almost 80 mile an hour wind gusts. Thanks to those who were worrying and praying that we made it thru alright :)

Well, Jen, you know how relieved I am that life is back to normal for all of us and thank God for homeowner's insurance! Larry and I really enjoyed have you, Joey and the kids riding out the storm with us though. 
I think we'd better continue to keep an eye on Fay as she wanders all around Florida...she really seems to like it here...and there's another out there in it's early stages.

Im glad we are alright too. Next time tho no matter how small of a storm it is im putting all my pictures and baby books and all that in the truck incase we have to leave or something happens to the house i have all the sentimental stuff safe, because if the roof would have went i would have lost it all. that storm really scared us even with it being a tropical storm so i guess with the future ones im going to do things a little different.

That's a good idea. We'll have to get some more of those large plastic containers so you can do that. I would have hated to see you lose all of those memories, too.
