My download speed is 1.14 megabits per second; and 139.31 kilobyte per second. And the truth is I really have no idea what this all means. Just as long as my pages open fast, and I download at pretty good pace. That is all I care about. That my computer is running fast, and it is.

My ISP is Bredbandsbolaget and they claim to offer 60-100Mbit/s between it's users of this service which I haven't tested.
Doing a speed test on a site located in my country (but not same ISP) I get:
Send 4.64Mbit/s
Receive 4.42Mbit/s
At best when downloading from another country I would say 4Mbps and on average when downloading from download sites I get around 1,5Mbps.

Hello soulfly! I am from India and I use BSNL Broadband's home 500 plan. My speed is the very same as yours, but does vary all the time. Sometimes, it may come as low as 40kbps too. :(

Mention not. I was also learning on the way! :p
Besides, it's fun to know other people's connection speeds and what they feel about it.
