I want to have a pet - a tortoise.

I really wish I could have a tortoise one day. But I need knowledge about it. I do not know its eating habit or the conditions ideal for it to keep at home. Does any body have any info related to tortoise. I would love to know even the slightest details about them. Can we buy them on the internet? If yes where? Are they very expensive? They are really cute creatures.

It is nice to keep a tortoise as a pet because in India, it is believed that if you keep a tortoise in your house, it will help to increse the life span of people. It is also believed that tortoises have a very good life span. I don't know where you can buy them. Please contact with the people who sell fish and water related stuff. Hope you can find one soon.
