Did you ever experience calling the 911?

I don;t like to do that because I take it as a serious business when you call that number. Bu was force to do it one time when my daughter is very sick and we have no money to pay for the taxi and we have no car of our own too. somebody told me to call the 911 instead of the ambulance. I did it and they answered me and my daughter was saved.
did you experience doing this too. When you are in an emergency situation, you will do even the weirdest thing in the world just to save the life of your child.
Do you agree?

once, my sister in law recieved a knock at her door...it was the police! the police told her that they had recieved a 911 call from their house and guess what? it was my 15 month old niece that got a hold of the phone and dialed 911 - what are the chances of that happening? my sister in law bought her a toy phone to play with after that!

I called 911 before, but it was not for my family or me. I live in an apartment, and there was a woman standing on my patio, screaming up to the apartment above, which was her apartment, but her boyfriend had locked her out. So she was screaming that she was going to kill him, and saying just awful things, right outside my patio door. It was 3am, so no way was I going outside. I called 911 and the police came and took care of it. I didn't want anything to escalate into violence.

yea, that is what I think of the purpose of calling 911. when there is violence in the area it is the right to call that number. But I did it for an emergency like what I said for my daughter to be taken to the hospital.

The insurance I am on says they will not pay for an ambulance to come get me no matter how sick I am. And if I had to pay it all on my own it would be 900 dollars! Can you believe that? If it were anyone else I'd call an ambulance, but if it were for me, I'd try to drive myself. I live three miles from the closest hospital. I'd be too scared of the bill to call for help for myself! lol
